    i have a sony vaio sz 48..nw over d past cpl of mths ive noticed dat its gettin heated up pretty quickly nd d cpu speed has decreased...nw ders dis button by which i can reduce d cpu fan revolutions werin decreasin d cpu processin speed..nd i hve a feelin dats prob d reason y d fan has stopped wrkin ..cos i pressd it a few times widout knowin wat it does..is der neway i can change dat nd increase my fan speed??

    Seriously, would you mind using proper English? (I don't care if its UK or US)
    Not everybody can read the language of 10 year old, commonly used in text messages...

    If you have a heat problem, clean out the vents, are you using the NVidia or the Intel card.

    k dude..chill..i didnt think anyone would care what sort of language i use as long as they understand what i write..anyways ..yeah i tried cleaning the vents ..it didnt work..and yep i have an nvidia geforce 7400 go as well as an intel chipset in it..and btw..ive just started having some display issues too..im getting kinda weird lines in the form of boxes and then my system is getting hanged..

    oh k..im gnna try nd get it fixed for nw..wat if der is a fault wid d nvidia card..do i hve 2 replace my mother board or sumthin..??wat r d chances of d fan nt functioning??

    nd btw..i did try usin it wid d ac on..it dint really wrk out..d lapi gets heated up so bad..u can barely touch d keys..

    try a complete disassembly and use an aircan to clean it, put new thermal paste like MX-2 on the chips & CPU check that fan is working ok and buy a good laptop cooling pad. check out the undervolting guide

    By the way - the SZ is normally a very cool running laptop.
