    is it true that that sony sz does not have dvi out -- and therefore I cannot use my external lcd monitor to its fullest capabilities?

    Correct. You can look at any SZ spec sheet and see that there is no DVI port, but there IS a vga port, and the docking station has DVI.

    You will need the dock. I am driving my Dell 24 at 1920x1200 from a the dock

    Does anyone have experience with playing tv with the following configuration:

    USB TV Tuner > Docking Station (USB In) > Vaio FE/SZ > Docking Station (DVI out) > LCD Display

    Any tips/ideas are welcome.

    Isn't there a port replicator on 120B as an option which supports DVD-D?
