    hi i av a sony vaio vgn ar41e
    I switched my laptop on today to find loads of blue lines going down my screen and when it was loading up they were lots of a with commers on the top of them all over screen any ideas thanks

    Your GPU might have failed. Look at the sticky in the Sony forum regarding fault Nvidia chip replacement.
