    I replaced my Sony VAIO vpcf115fm motherboard (M930 main board 1P-009BJ00-8012 REV 1.2 MBX-215)
I bought the motherboard fromthis page:
Wholesale Product Snapshot Product name is 1P-009BJ00-8012 For Sony MBX-215 M930 REV 1.2 Laptop Motherboard/Mainboard & Fully Tested+Good Condition

but im having a probleem ,I don't get any image on my laptop screen even on starup I don't see nothing (even the vaio logo),
I can get an image only if I connect an external display via VGA port but I can see the boot and evrithing on the external screen only.the laptop display doesn't show nothing.
I tried to play with the FN+F7 keys to choose display but it don't effect nothing...
It looks thet the laptop do not know that the original laptop screen connected.

    things i tried:
    1. enter to boot -but there's no option of choosing screen.
    2. play with the FN+F7 keys to choose display but it don't effect nothing...

I read online that maybe I need to update the video BIOS and ill need to "tell" the chipset that is a screen (the laptop screen) conected to hes ports

There is a setup that I need to do for a new motherboard?
how i can fix my problem?

    please help

There is a DIP switch just above keyboard connector on motherboard.
Make sure you have it set the same as your old motherboard.
    It is LCD panel selector.

is it possible there is a fuse blown? Check and make sure there are no blown fuses near the LVDS vga connector on both sides of the motherboard. Also make sure you connected the lcd cables correctly, check for any bent pins on the connectors on the board as well as the cable. Try updating the bios on the motherboard by using an external monitor to gain access to the pc also run a hardware test in vaio care or another utility to make sure the video card passes in case you got a faulty board.

I believe what is happening here is that you purchased a board that is slightly different from the one that came in your laptop even though it is the same cosmetically and numerically the video bios version is probably different, this is common with Sony laptops sometimes aftermarket screens won't work etc.
