Has anyone else been experiencing touchpad issues. My touchpad seems to think theres always one finger on it, preventing movement and enabling multitouch controls when i dont want them despite my sensitivity being high. This happens sporadically on and off. I have no idea whats causing it or why one second it works and the other it doesnt. Does any one have any input? The sony technician said that something on my computer was interfering with/corrupting the driver.

    Sony Vaio (vpcz1290x)
    i7-620m
    4gb ram

I would first try reinstalling drivers (also there might be an updated version of drivers from Sony's support page). If that doesn't clear the issue, you should send it for repair.

    Cheers,

I did reinstall the drivers and it works for a little while but then stops. Right now i went straight to synaptics and got the driver there and it seems to be working better for now...

i have this problem randomly too, when i try to scroll the page from right side of the touchpad, whenever it happen. i just use a dry cloth wipe across the touchpad and it will be fixed.
