    sony vaio z11 constant drive activity

    I just noticed that the hdd led indicator flashes every sec or so even though the computer is idle with no programs running. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

    Windows 7 (and Vista especially) is always doing something. But especially indexing things. Load up the Resource Monitor and it'll tell you *exactly* what is writing to the disk, where, and how much.
