    I got a vostro 1500 with 2x1024 mb ram

and now i wanna buy myself those 2 gb here : http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16820208323

so i will have 3 gb in my vostro - and the 1 gb will go into my old VGN-A115B.

    so i got 2 questions :

Will 3 Gb make my vostro actually faster ? i heard that 2x 1 gb are faster than 1x1gb and 1x2gb

and will the 1 gig actually fit into my sony VGN-A115B ?

    thanks a lot

3 GB will be most certainly faster. Although it might loose like 3-4% performance speed, the extra RAM will justify it.
