-
Reset the router/modem.
-
how excatly do i do that again
-
Unplug them and replug them in.
-
Look for a reset button or use another computer to access the router and reboot it through the router interface

still giving me the same bull**** i cant connect
-
Is it the only computer connected to the router? If not it could be that DHCP is not enabled on the router

no we have the family pc connected to the router aswell.
but im still having trouble with my new laptop when i connect my laptop with the cable connected to the router it works fine but once i disconnect and select a network using wifi it tells me that i only have limited connectivity.
oh p.s. i put the right wep key too incase your wondering -
and ive connected my psp and my other friends laptop he has a dell xps and it wasnt a problem all i had to do is enter the wep key and all was good. but yeah i cant get online with my laptop

Were all the devices online at once (like using the net on the PSP and the family computer at the same time)? If they were that rules out DHCP. Have you tried deactivating the security completely just to check? Some adapters support different security standards (like 128bit keys instead of 64bit).
