I've been looking at the FS series at Best Buy and I noticed that you have to max out the volume to even begin to hear anything (and at this setting it's still just a whisper). Are the speakers really that weak?
    Thanks.

I owned FS series. I will say sound on FS series is totally weak. You need to use headphone or buy external speaker. If you want laptop with good speaker, buy laptop that is designed for "desktop replacement" e.g. A series or maybe HP/Compaq for desktop replacement. They have pretty decent sound with good bass.

FS and S series are totally weak.
