i m so Confused about this two labs which one i should buy
why i am Confused : the FW is better in the vga and the screen size but it much bigger (is it too big to face a problem with its size in moving)

SR is Light and have the Fingerprint Sensor but (is the size of the screen to small or not) and the price is same for the two labs

i hope that any one have any of these series help me to decide which better
    thanx for every body here

Welcome to NBR - I have the FW285, love the screen size. Portability is fine, granted a larger system than most carry around, but this is lighter than it looks. Better than the 15" HP used to lug around. If your use requires large screen real estate then the FW all the way.
Have traveled numerous times with the machine, car, train and plane. No issues.

Have only used one on a portable hard drive - gave us nothing but troubles - now in all fairness that was a few years ago. But to me that's not a feature I'm interested in. Sorry

The obvious question is, do you intend to carry it around a lot? SR is a portable laptop, where as FW is Desktop replacement (although, it is relatively lightweight for DTR). SR is much easier to carry around, and will get better battery life. For daily use, SR's screen size and GPU is good enough. For games or photo-editing, FW is a better choice.

BTW, if you intend to get FW, I urge you to get XbriteHD screen. It is the reason of existence for FW.

i have an SR290 with a fingeprint sensor. I love the fingerprint sensor, works great with the UPEK software. its one of the few bundled software I loaded back after i did a clean install to remove the bloatware.

prior to the SR, I used to have a 15.1 inch screen notebook which was large and heavy. if lugging around a notebook (even within the house between rooms) is thepriority, go for the SR. OTOH, if you will keep it at home 95% of the time, then the FW should be good.

of course i will move with my lab out of home for 80% ,so it have to be easy carry but very powerful as i m programmer ... one question jpvs
do you think it is not important to have fingerprint sensor?

If its 80% travel, go for the SR- you will appreciate the ability to carry it and show it around using one hand instead of two.

Reg the fingerprit sensor, if you havent used it before, you wont miss it.

But having used it regularly. I find it the fastest and easiest way to "unlock" a locked machine.

At home the SR is docked to a station and i use a wireless desktop., my daughter tries to keep banging on my wireless keyboard. I keep it out of her reach (and mine) and simply use the mouse to click and browse around most of the time. find it even more useful to use the sensor to unlock it instead of using the regular keyboard!

You also have to look into the screen size. the larger the screen size, the lousier your battery life. My old 15 inch laptop gave me 1 hour on teh battery on the road. the SR with its smaller screen and lower power consumption gives me 2.5-3 hours on the road (4 hours if i shut off wifie, dim the brightness and other power saving modes in place)

Lastly this thing runs very cool. I would rcommend going for the P series processor regardless of which model you pick.
