This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     i don't know what's happening but when i switch the laptop to "sleep" (standby) on vista, it always switches back on by itself. i don't know when but must be after a few hours because everytime i use "sleep" and come back to the laptop after a few hours, i always see it turned on again.

    it's the same as when i'm on screen saver. i sometimes see the screen just came on by itself. :rolleyes: :mad:

    Could there be a program running in the background that causes that?
