I have bought a vaio FZ340 .I just want everybody know that the screen of this laptop sucks.the viewing angle is so shallow in every direction that you can never see the true color of the subject.I am so sorry that I paid for such a crap.I hate it.

Who is going to view the screen from other angles anyway? I love my eco-brite screen. I do agree with you that the colors look like ghost images in other viewing angles.

On a positive side, it discourages prying eyes of those around. Not a truly effective "privacy filter", though.

I have been using my FS630 for over 3 years now and the screen is perfectly fine. Of course, it's not as good as those new screen that came out during the past 3 years, it performs just as good as many new laptop nowadays.

Has anyone had any serious issues with heating?

I just bought fz340 and within half an hour i could feel the real hot air blowing out from the left back fin area. Hope this is normal.

What exactly does this have to do with "VAIO screens with ECO technology"? Please do not hijack threads. Find an appropriate one by using the search box at the top of the page. Then if you can't find one, start a new one.

The viewing angle doesn't bother me at all, but the XBRITE-ECO screen isn't that great even if you have a high performance graphic card. I'll suggest everyone to pay for the extra $50 dollar for the XBRITE-HiColor screen. My roommate has it on his VAIO. It looks better than my one.

Duh they tell you that the XBRITE-HiColor screen will look better. The ECO screen is for better battery life not for good looks.
