strange issues with m13m1e

Hello
I have had the netbook for two days now and since having it, it seems to restart and freeze by itself. Sometimes when it freezes the screen goes blanc but the netbook is still running but unresponsive so i have to shut it down by holding down the power button. Other times it freezes and others it restarts by itself. It never shows an error message.
I have tried a power cycle as suggested by sony but this did nothing to help the problem.

The strange thing is that this only seems to happen when running from the battery and it is completely random. and it doesnt vary on how power much I use it. I can for example have the youtube running, webcam running, music blazing but it wont freeze. It has nothing to do with the battery being loose as I have had it freeze, lying flat of a desk and i have shaken the life out of it to try and get it to freeze and it doesn't.

Sony are sending me a replacement battery, if this does solve the problem it would be nice to see if there is anything I can do to fix the other battery and have two.

 

Right, so the replacement battery did not solve the problem. I am so baffled as to what the problem is since it only happens on battery power.

I am ran hardware tests etc, no problems found, how would I troubleshoot it?

 

Ok after trying to troubleshoot the problem, I have discovered 2 things:

It does not freeze in safemode when running from battery.
It does not freeze with the graphics driver uninstalled when running from battery.

Therefore, there is some kind of problem between the graphics driver and running from battery. It has never frozen on ac power regardless of graphics driver.

So what could be the problem?
