They might make some nice notebooks (at least I hope they are still good quality), but they need someone who can think a little in their sales department....

Ordered the FE on the 25th. Sales person assured me 3 times that I will have it before the 10th (with standart slow free shipping) and that the shipdate will be the 2nd. After a week my shipdate gets pushed out 2 weeks. They charged me for the additional insurance right away and now I get the insurance letter that says my insurance starts at the date of the purchase...which is at least a month before I even get the notebook...wth sony?

I will give them a call later today. At the minimum I want my insurrance to start when I actually recieve the notebook and be upgraded to the next better shipping method. I don't get it...in my impression Sony is always trying to get everything perfect, why does their customer support suck so much?

It's a function of product availability, it's probably not their fault that the FE is shipping so slowly. But you shouldn't have any problem getting them to adjsut your warranty start date and I give you a 50/50 shot on the free shipping upgrade.

Ok, I think this is good news (sort of...at least it's not bad). Called them up and they said, just to let them know when I recieve my notebook and they will change the warranty date. They will also put in 2 day shipping and most likely it will be shipped tomorrow....yeah!!....well at least thats what what the service rep told me he can see on his screen....lets see what it says tomorrow.

Oh, and Brian, you are a glorious beacon of light!!
