My SZ keeps stuttering for a few seconds during the last 30 seconds of every song. I think its got to do with the hard drive seeking the next song, but i dont get why there should be a stutter. unless i need some sort of hard drive drivers

try to update the media codec for wma and mp3..also try to update or reinstall the sound driver, and try to use another media player to play music.

Ha sounds like the problem I had.

But the solution that worked for me is to...

    Start
    Control Panel
    Sound
    Double-click on Speakers/Headphones
    'Effects' tab
    Disable System Effects (tick)

and this solved my problem. Hope this works for you as well. :)
