On my laptop (Sony Vaio Fe790P), the internal speakers sound really low even on the highest setting. I'm going to opt for external speakers but I was wondering which external speakers were good for this laptop? (Some good brands or what do most people use?) What do most external speakers for laptops run? (price wise) Thanks!
[sorry i didn't specify, i'm looking for something that's portable] Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone.

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
Logitech is a good choice for any application, from a small 2.0 setup to full blown THX 7.1's, they fill bill nicely in all price points, you really cant go wrong.
What are you looking for in particular? Something you can carry around with you? Stationary desk setup? You have a ton of options, but its hard to reccomend something without specifics for your needs/wants.
You will get more results in the HW components and aftermarket upgrades forum, external speakers are external speakers, regardless of the make of the laptop. -
if you want something really sexy, get Logitech Z-10

What kind of external speakers are you looking for? There are AC-powered speakers, AC-powered USB speakers, and USB-powered speakers.
The Bose Companion 5 seems quite good =)
I tried the Logitech Z-10, but I don't think it's worth it and returned it. -
i use these Trust speakers - http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=14235
i got them about a year ago for around £25 ($50) so they should be an even lower price now, and the sound quality is very good in comparison to the cost. and they're quite small so don't take up too much desk space. And theyre white and sleek in design so match my vaio well -
give the Logitech V20 laptop speakers a go...only downfall is they do cost quite a bit in store...then again there is eBay...

The Z-10 was quite nice (value wise), i ve compared it to a Creative equivalent but the creative din sound as nice as the z-10 did.
suggestions for external speakers
