    Hi all,
I have the svs13a1x9e model with ssd. I need to connect the hard drive to my desktop to copy the content before sending the entire notebook to be repaired.
I know that it has a special cable, where can I find it?Something like sata to usb or something similar. Which words can I use to find something on google?

And what about changing the ssd with a standard sdd? I have to buy which cable?

    Regards

If you have RAID 0 setup with your laptop, I don't think you have anything to back up your content other than your laptop.
But you can just remove the SSD and keep it and send the rest. However, you won't have your data to work for a while.

I did not set the raid 0 option.
I need to recover data from the disk for others reason. I know that in the notebook is used e special cable with sony connection. So if I want to put a standard ssd I have to buy e cable and change the one attached to the mother board.
Question 1: how can I search on google for this cable? (there is a specific name for this connection type?)
Question 2: I have the ssd in my hand, how can I access to it from my desktop pc.

Post a picture of the connector, so people can look and give you the best advise.

There is no such cable you can buy to fit your ssd.
You don't have other options to retrieve your data without a laptop.

So the only way to access data inside the sdd outside this notebook is to use another laptop (same model)?

Same model is the best because you don't have to open the case.
Though Z2 and SVZ use the same drive.

So I have no choice...I don't want to buy another laptop just to access to the ssd.
From my poin of view this is a very bad choice from Sony, are the others competitor (comparable products) doing the same?

Do you think I can send the laptop to RMA without the sdd?

Yes, you can send it for RMA without SSD.
I did it even with Z2 which means I have to open whole bottom cover.
