it gets overheat and warmer than my previous vaio f series 2nd generation core i7 2670. my current model is svs151290x. core i7 3632, windows 8, base model from vaio website. i m runnig this machine with stamina mode to avoid overheating. but it remains. so, i m confused is it normal or should i send it back? in that case it will be really a huge problem bcause of my current possition. i m now in bangladesh, an asian country where no authorised vaio service centre exists. can any one have idea with overheat question? some more problem i m facing here: touchpad resistance etc.

ok. i googled and run speedfan soft. my cpu usage is about 0.3%-20%, GPU: 52c, HD0: 41c, temp 1: 58c, core 0: 58c, core 1: 58c, core 2: 58c, core 3: 59c. i dont have idea about these data. but the problem i m facing is the bottom part of the laptop that contains battery, gets so warm that one can not resist with it over any arm. some times i have to use it over my arm or knee. my previous vaio f was not so warm any way. i used to work with that machine very high performance softs like photosho cs6. still i have not examinned those softs at my machine. but i m confused what is happening here?

Cpu and fan are in the middle and near the hinge

My SVS15 (Asia) is definitely hotter than a VAIO F2 (US), but not hotter than an F1 (EU).
It doesn't go over 80*C now. But the parts near the hinges get too hot for fingers (I never checked the bottom part, since I always use it on a stand, plus I have an extra battery, therefore, which doesn't heat up).
The part near the vent is extremely hot though, I am almost afraid that can cause problems for the monitor. The exhaust has to be in the crappiest, most ridicolous place anyone could have put it on a laptop, literally.
If you open the screen to the maximum, it'll heat up. The fan cannot push out the heat fast enough then, since the monitor blocks a great deal of it.
The temperatures you have in Idle are quite high though, unless it's already 40-50*C in your room. It's 25-27*C here and during typical work, my CPU temps are around 40*C, I didn't see them go over 45*C. (regular as in browsing, but as soon as I start programming or running VMs, it gets over 60*C during the load).
svs151290x. core i7 3632 form sony us online, overheating problem. is it normal?
