This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have faint swirly lines when I hook up my external lcd monitor (sony sdm-hs93). I didn't have this problem originally but after I performed a clean install they just appeared. I'm pretty sure this is a software issue but I have no idea how to fix it. Any advice appreciated!
    P.S. My laptop is a vgn-nr285e
