Hey, so a tech came over yesterday to replace my touchpad(never got fixed, says he needs more parts) and shortly after, after suspending my computer, unpon reboot i got the blue screen. When i reboot the computer stays at the vaio screen for a while and then finally goes to a black screen saying there is not operating system installed. I put in a win XP cd, and when i try to do a repair, there was no operating system found. When i try to do a new installation, the neither of my partitions can be found.

on another note- i tried to install win xp onto my external usb hard drive, and the CD wont let me do that, it says its no accessable or something.
    Any ideas

the tech opened the computer to replace mouse pad, im wondering if there is a loose cable on the hard drive. I havent opened up the computer yet, i just looked at the tutorial for exposeing the hard drive and it does not look like the easiest thing to do...

so i took the hard drive out and connected it to a external adapter, and it spun but i could not access the drive. Is the HD shot? could the tech guy have damaged it when replacing the mouse pad?
