The UK power adapter should work as long as its output is 19.5V (the required input voltage for the SZ) and provided it has the correct plug for the Sony SZ series.

Even 19V (the output of the Kensington adapter using the N4 tip) seems to work for those of us who own an "alternative" power adapter.

There are several UK participants on this board. Perhaps they can share their experiences with UK power adapters, Sony brand or otherwise.

Your adapter should have not problem but the plug, you'll need a converter for that.

99% of computer power adapters work in both 110 and 220. i fly all over the world and only have had one problem. but it was with a sony tr in france. i plugged in the adapter (it clearly said 110/220) and it fried. i was left in paris with no power. luckily the french love their sony's and a freindly computer store sold me a new power supply.
