I noticed I have two programs running which keeps my cpu at 30%-40% most of the time:
    spoolsv.exe
    csrss.exe

on average, both take a total of 30-40% of cpu. I know they are required by windows (ie: not a virus as far as I know) but anybody running with hardly any cpu time?

near-0% usage here as well when idle.

perhaps it's your nvidia drivers? is it a clean install?

    spoolsv.exe is the print/fax spooler.
csrss.exe is a core Windows component.

I've seen reports of problems with these two processes taking CPU time before (not specific to the SZ, going back years) however I don't see any actual solutions.

try process explorer from sysinternals.com to see more detailed
info on processes - it helped me solve a problem recently as well.

Ok, I have no idea but I think the nvidia has something to do with this. There was a task with nv something in it and I shut it down (it wasnt using up cpu time, but I read something about nvidia) and when I did that, the spool and csrss dissapeared. and now I'm back to 1%. Anybody else using "Speed" setting NOT having this cpu issue? Did you upgrade the processor or update the bios(I didnt do that yet)

I removed my office icon. I find it useless.

oh did anybody else enable in nvidia's setup the "log my temp" option? I'm wondering if its that. Reason is I uncheckmark it and when I go back in, its enabled again.

Yay! I reinstalled (had to dload the vid drivers from sony as they dont reinstall nicely) and the two processes went away and I don't have the "log temp" thing checked.
