    hi - ive got a sz150p with a 1.8 core duo... Can I just buy a 2.16 core 2 duo and throw it in there? what bios do i need... what do i need to prepare :confused:

    I think there should be no problem to change the processor. Use the latest available bios from the sony webside and everything should work fine.

    Other than voiding your warranty, the SZs that I've seen don' have the processor soldered onto the motherboard so it should be plug and play.

    how aboutr memory... i have 2gb.. i read somewhere I can put in a 2gb stick and a 1gb.. is it true?>

    Do a search here - I'm the one that started the threads back in the spring of '06. Short answer, yes you can bump your SZ up to 3GB of memory.
