When my laptop is in AC mode, my fan is always spinning.
that's kinda annoying me. is there any way to stop this?

You can download various programs that'll control the fan. A few I can think of... NHC, SpeedFan.
BTW, does you computer run hot? cause I can't see why the designers would leave the fan running continuously unless there was a reason. -
my computer run too cool.. I can't see why it need fan constantly..
the only "warm" part of my muchine is bottom of the laptop. -
Reports from owners of the Portege M400 Tablet also say that the fan runs constantly, even though this is a relatively cool seeming machine. Maybe something to do with the Duo?

My fan is always on in my sz120 too, it gets annoying.

I think by default the s2 button is set to "cpu fan noise reduction." I read this in the user's guide.
-
I used the S2 button before, but I didn't really work.

Maybe.. CPU iteself has small fan.. so It is always on even in battery mode. I'm getting used to it.

Are you sure it's not the Harddrive idle noise you are hearing? It sounds kind of like a fan on my S5.. l
-
It's not like hard drive's mechanical sound. I found out my other laptop has this kind of sound

Does anyone hear high-frequency sound like "ddi~~~" on the laptop?
That sound comes out with the fan noise on top-left side of my laptop.
sz160// is there any way to make the fan less spinning?
