Can someone tell me if MS fixed the issue where the SZ would not throttle the cpu and battery life would drop? Also what about screen brightness? I remember trying to install vista beta on the sz and you couldn't adjust screen brightness and battery would drain like mad.

Yes you can adjust the screen brightness perfectly fine in Vista, and the CPU throttling issue has been fixed as well, as far as I know that was only XP and the earlier Vista builds. Vista has come a very long way since it's beta release.

Good, I just got my Vista Ultimate in the mail. Not I have to shift through all these vista stuff on this board to see how hard it'll be to install. Almost sound like that Mac commercial about upgrading to Vista.

How can you tell for sure that it's throttling the CPU down? I don't think mine is...
