I did a clean install of Vista Business using a vista dvd I already had and the drivers on Sony's website, the only thing I seem to not be able to get to work is the fingerprint reader or any of the fn keys besides volume. Any one have advice?

Did you use the drivers from the sony websites? If so, were those the only two you couldn't get to work?

Do the other drivers work that are listed on the site? There are 35 listed in total for the SZ650. Would these drives work in other models aswell?

I would like to do a clean install, I was woundering if the 650 drivers would work.

I think the trick is that you have to install the drivers in a certain order. Could those that have figured it out post a guide for the rest of us?

It's not a trick. Those drivers are fubar. Sony already knows (I told them on Monday.)

The XP driver for the fingerprint reader works.
The Dell driver for the touch pad works.

Power management should work. Be sure to install the sony dll lib and the utils.

Same with Fn keys, this is the Programmable I/O Control Device Driver

PM your email address and I can email you the two drivers I have for the fingerprint & touchpad

So you have everything working under a clean install of Vista? Could you post a guide?
