    sz680 cto - Extra 30 bux for silver keyboard???

    So,

    Is the silver keyboard option on the sz 680 a different keyboard than comes standard on the 640? I can't understand why it would cost more to upgrade to a keyboard that is standard on the lower priced models... Has anyone ordered the 680 w/ the silver keyboard option and if so, can you post pictures? I have a feeling this may be a nicer keyboard than the one on the 640 but have no idea how to tell!

    I haven't seen the silver keyboard, but from other threads, it appears it is a really bad choice. The $30 charge is probably going towards the paint job, which doesn't look too good.

    I can't find the thread with pictures at the moment, but you can look around.

    I assume people would complain a lot more, if they had to pay extra to get the black keyboard.

    From the pictures that I have seen, it is not my thing. Each to their own, though.

    I just received my 680 with a black keyboard.

    Very clean is all I can say.
    My wife received a CR190 on the same day and the silver on it looks nice (with a pink) computer :D

    Functionality should be the same but the color of the keyboard is just gonna have to be your opinion but it seems to be that many people really like the clean look of black on black.

    save the $30 and get the black keyboard. i just got the 680 myself and regret the keyboard choice as soon as i lifted the screen. also, the keyboard on my older sz160p has more "springyness" to it...my only 2 complaints for the 680

    some people like it, some dont, i dont think it looks good with the premium sz's, but it looks good with the non premium ones because it all matches
