I have a SZ71WN_C (with the blue ray drive and 4gb ram) and a Sony Bravia HDTV ( KDL-40V4000 - there's a photo of the TV's connections if you scroll down a bit).

I would like to play blue ray disks through the laptop onto the TV as well as display photos, home movies, etc. I've searched the forums and have found a fair ammount of discussion around other VAIOs but nothing specific to the SZ7s. Anyone here have experience of such a connection? Or anyone have an inkling on where I should start looking?

    Thanks in advance

If you do buy the docking station then you can buy a DVI-->HDMI cable. The TV you have does not have a DVI port. As DVI does not output sound you will need to plug in your own speakers or plug in a cable from your laptop to your TV for the sound.
