Can the sony sz750 n/c utilize its built in gps without being connected to the sprint wireless network?

You probably mean GPRS as there is no SZ model with native GPS capabilities.

Ahh, I must have misread it. I wish that I could use the sprint feature without buying a seperate package on top of my unlimited plan. -
Actually I looked again.
It says: Enable GPS when WWAN is turned on.
Then below it, it says: GPS settings, location search. -
It possibly isn't "true GPS" but a mobile phone network based system which will calculate your position relative to the position of the mobile phone masts.
(GPS; position relative to satelite)
But then, do you need it? And its going to drain your battery.
If you need a positioning system, get a small handheld device, maybe look at Galileo (European) and Glossnas (or Glossnass) (Russian) too.
