The 6650M is more powerful, though not by much!!! In some games the S might be faster.

Is the severe throttling on the new Z just that one person, or do all have the problem?

I might stick with the SA just because of the more traditional, reliable GPU setup (onboard, instead of external through a cable connection).

Thanks for the replies guys, i went with the s series afterall because there is too litle info on the z gaming performance so far, although i was very exited about the dock gpu, also the design of the z is pretty awesome, any advice would still be appreciated though because i might still return it

wait....SA or SB? the resolution you've picked matters quite a huge amount as well, in addition to the GPU.

After having owned both, and finally receiving a working Z2, I would say the S is faster out of the box. Also, you can overclock the S currently and we are still looking for a solution for the PMD.

I howver could not stand the screen on the S/SA. The new Z is growing on me now that I can see what it is capable of.

    RIP MBA.

I received my replacement today, I went fom a Z214GX/B to a Z216GX/B. I know both are capable, but my first one was wonky to say the least.

Was REALLY tempted to get the $2999 signature or a BTO, but I could not pass up the deal from Amazon for $2150 (Including the sheet battery). I just couldint see paying $600+ for 2GB of Ram and a PCF lid.
