For those wondering if the x1400 128 (I think its dedicated) vs teh the 7400 128 (not dedicated), the sony ran just fine against it.
m100 with the x1400 and a 2Ghz due only scored 1660pt on 3dmark05
sz120 with the 7400 and 1.86Ghz scored 1880pts.
I'm happy. But there are those who say the 3dmark is biased to nvidia..

Actually the go 7400 is dedicated, but utilizes turbocahe technology which just shares ram with the pc. A really integrated card like intel's utilizes cpu and memory form pc. Still i was told the x1400 was better than the nvidia...interesting... The ati x1400 could also be using hypermemory which is the sames as turbocache but differetn name. whoot!! my first post!!

Sorry I knew about the turbo cache, but from what little I read, the x1400 was supposed to be all dedicated. Where the nvidia is something dumb like 20mb vram and the rest is shared? It was something small.

so let me get this straight.........the 7400 in the SZ uses integrated ram?

something small like 20mb. The rest is shared ram.

All i know is i am able to play Call of duty 2 on my sz 110 with a little tweaking. thats good enough for me especially for a 13er.

The Tecra A6 is pretty much the same laptop and it gets 2149 with a 1.66GHz CPU. -

If thats what this review says. And Tecra is the top of the line, so it could have different parts -
To my knowledge...and practically I have been following Sony since before SZ was released...the 7400 has 128mb dedicated and 128mb turbocached. I would never get a notebook with 20mb dedicated VRAM.

There was another thread that mentioned that mentioned the actual vram. I thought it was bad, but my speed is ok...
tosh m100(atix1400 128mb) vs Sony sz120 (nvidia 7400 128mb)
