What does the Control Panel Device Manager show - any exclamation marks etc?
You could always try uninstalling/re-installing the Device Driver from the Sony page.
Possibly a hardware issue, is it recognized in the Mouse tabs (Control Panel). Did nay of the software or actions in last times do anything to turn it off?
