These are an awesome deal for $1300. I don't need alot of horsepower, and this is one of the last ones with xp pro. This would be perfect for me.

Am aware of the hump in the keyboard issue, the delicate lid/screen, etc- the only thing scaring me is how hot they get.

I have a TX850, which is almost the same, and the heat isn't an issue. Well it might get a little hot if you run it 100% for a long time, but "normal" desktop usage it just gets warm (okay to actually use it on your lap for several hours).

PS: the lid seems delicate at first because it's so thin, but it's actually not that bad. The LCD panel isn't screwed down onto the lid itself, so it's quite flexible.

    txn15p, internet reading+BT downloading+power plugged in=CPUtemp 56C-60C
Full power gaming (AOM, Sims...), CPU Temp 69C-73C
Hard disk temp stays around 46C-50C (48C most of the time)
No heat from the LED LCD screen.

    Ok, thanks guys.

They'll probably all disappear while I'm thinking about it.
