The unit was still there today. Not sure if I'll pick it up or not yet. But I noticed I could see a red/black wire between the joint and the gap looked big. It seemed to wiggle a little when I held the joint below the name tag. is that normal? Its down to $1.2k. Still not sure if its worth that much. If its still there at 50% or more, then I'll pick it up. had to pay for something that only has the laptop in a box with nothing else except the a/c adapter. Not een the cardboard place holders.

Also, the box info is ripped so I can't see the CPU speed. In vista control panel/device manager under CPU it says it has a dual core U7600 1.2Ghz cpu. But under the normal vista stats it says its a u7500 1.06Ghz. I'm pretty sure its the u7500?

that picture looks totally normal. that gap is between the hinge and the battery. my tz150 looks the same. as for the processor speed, it is a 1.06ghz U7500. there is an update to the cpu driver that corrects the speed that is displayed in device manager. $1200 is a sweet deal. i'd pick it up before somebody else does.

For correcting the cpu type in device manager, go to device manager, right click the cpu > uninstall >ok. Then reboot your system. The right cpu model will be displayed.

You can otherwise use the processor patch from the sony support site.

Just buy it. You can always sell it and make a few bucks off of it if you dont like it.

:) maybe, but its a niche market for somethng this small.Who would want to buy this from me for 1.2k when a better speced laptop only costs $500. Someone who wants it small. So it'll be harder to sell. That's probalby the only reason why its still there and didn't sell yet. I'll check today.
Hey anybody else have a compusa store near them? How much are laptops going for today? Mine is still closed because of the time. They open in a few hours. :)
