Hmm I really don't want to redo my computer AGAIN, but it seems after this last restore I've been getting minor quirks. This one is where it tells me my side bar crashed and to remove the gadget that caused it. But the window is blank. It doesn't show what gadget crashed. It will do this like once about 10 bootups? All I have is the clock, the smart wifi and a battery timer. All 3 I used to have running before this restore and its was ok with it. I tried leaving different gadgets off, but it always seemed to work fine. So I dunno.

I bet it is the smart wi app.
when you say remove the gadgets entirely, you mean out of the side bar, or unisntall it from the gadgets?

After you delete (hit the "X" on the gadget itself), click on the "+" up top, then right-click on the gadget to uninstall.

And yes, the Smart Wi was the problem with mine. It's a very cool applet, just a bit tempermental. I use is constantly to swtch between the WiFi and Broadband connections
