    Hi.

I need to change bios from R0092N0 to R0112N0. I'm trying to use the bios update from sony website for vgn sz 430 but I'm getting an error that the program is not for my laptop model (vgn sz280p).

I've seen posts stating that this bios should be compatible. So how do you guys update this bios to use a different one? WHat program do you use to extract the bios in the sony bios update program? I need to change to R0112N0 so i can try to enable virtualization in bios, but so far i don't see any for my current bios.

    thanks

thank you!!!! that worked! my sz280p now has R0112N0 and it's working fine. only thing I noticed is no more sound during bootup of the vaio logo.

now, how do I enable the virtualization in bios? :)

What do you mean I have a topic for vt? Btw I managed to find another thread and have enabled virtualization on my sz280p. Works like a charm.
now the only issues with sz280p and windows 7 are the multimedia buttons. Volume works but no visual confirmation or audio confirmation. The other shortcuts don't work, like contrast, s1 and s2 and f1
