My Z590 also came with the Elpida memory, one 2GB DDR3-1066 SODIMM (204-pin) with 7-7-7-20 cas timings.

I bought a 2x2GB kit of Crucial memory with the exact same specs to replace it with (as I wanted to have matching memory modules, rather than one Elpida plus one crucial/micron). I actually just switched them out yesterday, it's absurdly easy and took no more than 5 mins.

    So you're looking for DDR3-1066 204-pin SODIMM's. I bought my 4GB kit on Newegg for $59.

Also, if your Z also has the Elpida RAM (I suspect most of them do), I'd be happy to sell you the 2GB stick I just pulled from my Z for $30 shipped if you're in the US. I'm just going to list it on ebay otherwise anyway. (I hope I'm not breaking forum rules by making this spontaneous offer)

I added a 2gb from crucial in addition to my elpida and I have no complaints. Memory tests are where they are supposed to be.

Yeah, I would have been wise to do the same -- I wasn't sure if the RAM in the laptop would be 7-7-7-20 though before I bought it, so I went for the 2x2GB Crucial. Oh well, just means I'll have to go through the small hassle of selling the Elpida stick on ebay.
