    Hey guys,
I am looking at one of the new fz's, probably the one with blue ray- and I am curious, has any one edited video footage (particularly HD footage) and if so how did it stack up?
    cheers

I'd say it would handle it fine, depending on how strenuous you got with it. The limiting factor would be the 1280x800 max resolution.

the screen resolution doesn't bother me too much, I'm not sure what you mea by "strenous" though (I would be editing about two hours od HDV footage, and then encoding it onto either dvd or blue ray)

I would say get the fastest CPU then. And nothing less than 2GB of RAM.
