    Hi guys,

I am trying to install win7 on my sisters FZ21s, however i am encounting some problems.
the installation was easy and smooth but when it starts to boot windows 7 it goes into VAIO security center (maybe called recovery center, I have the german version)

is it nessasary to delete the OEM recovery partition?

    thanks in advance,

I tried both 32/64bit.. both having the same problem. which os will you recommend?

I think Sony OEM recovery partition is for the original system Vista

Hence,if you gonna use Win7,it's fine to delete the recovery partition.

you'd better make a recovery Win7 Disk by yourself after you entering the win7 system, following the step of Win7 recovery part, which in the control panel. It will work in case of you computer cannot work.

    Good Luck!

32bit or 64bit OS depends on you computer memory.

    >=4G choose 64bit to take full use of the 4G memory. else use 32bit.

For the most of the software we meet or use are just for 32bit OS. Few of the 32bit software cannot work in 64bit. Meanwhile , the 64bit driver for the Nividia GPU of VAIO FZ is not granted officially, you can use the fixed version. following the page http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=429745 ,you will find the answer.

    Good Luck again!

It is NOT necessary to remove the recovery partition to successfully install Win7. In fact, if there is any chance you want to sell the machine latter, you might want to leave the partition in place so you can return the machine to it's out of the box state before selling it.
