Are you having problems with the keyboard on the Z model?
I have the constant double type and am looking for comments on it.

no, actually, i accidentally spilled some juice on a small part of my keyboard and now one of the keys is sticky. if i could remove the key then i'd be able to wipe away the residual sugar. has anybody tried removing the keys? anybody?

The SR keyboard is incredibly hard to clean anything out of. My friend was stupid and shook my other friend who was sitting pretty far away who had soda that he was trying to close at the time. It flew all over my keyboard and screen, as well as the back casing of two other laptops in the immediate area.

I tried removing the keys, but apparently the soda had stuck in some other part of the membrane that isn't reachable. You may have a problem finding the stickiness at all.

Also, the regular keys (bigger ones) are easy to remove, just be careful about putting them back on. It's a lot harder to do because you can break/bend the holding parts if you aren't careful.

Also, I don't recommend removing the arrow keys either. They are attached an entirely different way which I'm not sure how to fix back on at all. O_O

I gave up and am planning on replacing the keyboard (still, I lacked money until now to fix it).

I know someone who did remove the SR and Z keyboards and even posted the pictures of them. I think you can just pop it off from what I've observed, but be careful to not use too much force (attached parts inside). The keyboard is held onto the body of the laptop via the plastic parts to the sides of the keyboard.
