This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     for you vaio UX owners, anyone running vista with aero turned on on the UX280? the UX380 comes with vista installed but every specs seems to be the same except the 0.1GHz processor speed difference. will the machine be slow with aero turned on and considering all bloatware removed?

    i'm not gonna use this for hardcore software programs but just internet browsing, microsoft office applications and watching movies. But at least i'd like to have it running on vista with aero without too much lag.

    btw, how would you go onto reinstalling a fresh copy of windows on this machine? will an external dvd drive essential or it can run through a desktop computer?
