    Hello everybody.

I'm new here but I really have a problem and wanted to ask you guys for help.

I tried searching this forum but could find the solution to my problem. If I missed an previous post about this, please let me know.

I bought a vaio VPCZ12X9E/X and it runs very smooth. But I'm having problems with my wireless LAN. I'm using it at my home and my router is an Livebox which I received from my ISP. All the other computers and laptops are working without any problems on this router and I added the vaio Z laptop to this router in the same way as I did with the other computers.

The problem I'm having is that when I boot my computer my internet works. After a couple of minutes of browsing the web, it looses internet connection. It says it is connected to the router but in the icon in my taskbar an yellow Icon appears saying that I'm having no internet connection.
If I try to access my router trough my browser I can't reach the router. If I ping the router form command than it doesn't losses any packages so somehow it is connected to the router.
If I reconnect to the router it still doesn't work.
If I turn my wireless adapter off and on again it still doesn't work.
The only way it start to work again is when I reboot the router. Than my internet on my laptop works without any problems and doesn't lose internet connection until I reboot my computer.
I already removed VAIO Smart Network and tried it without that but that also doesn't work. I now reinstalled VAIO Smart Network and still the same problems.

I'm running out of ideas so I hope some of you are having suggestions.

Okay. It looks like my problem is solved.
I removed mcafee and installed comodo and NOD32, which I prefer.
I've been working for a couple of hours now, rebooting my laptop several times and no loss of internet connection anymore. So looks like mcafee was the problem.

If the problem comes back, I will come back here and ask for your advice again.

McAfee and Norton are some of the WORST products on the market. Insanely bloated and perform worse (both in detection and resources) compared to Microsoft Security Essentials.

Our work uses McAfee and it makes my work laptop cry (no way I'd ever let them install that on my Z12.)

Sorry for the rant, but I've had a bug up my butt regarding McAfee for the last week or two due to it practically killing my work laptop.
