    vaio battery charges when plugged in but won't turn on

    Hi everyone, I really hope there is someone out there that can help.
    I have a vaio notebook FJ series. It is about 3 years old. I hadn't turned the computer on in months and yesterday when I was going to use it, it wouldn't turn on. I plugged in the power and it charged the battery, (since the light of the battery was blinking for about an hour until it got charged), when i press the power button nothing happens.
    As a matter of fact when I put the battery on or when i plug in the power adapter it makes a light buzzing sound, but, as soon as I press the power button the sound disappears.
    Any similar experiences or diagnoses out there? or anyone know how to fix the problem?

    you shouldn't leave your vaio with the battery inplace

    edit:
    try removing the battery and plug the power source and turn it on

    I have tried that before. Still same thing happens. As soon as i press power the low buzzing stops.
