    Hi,

I never used any of them so you can consider them non-vital :)

You are supposed to create the recovery disks yourself! It is written about 7 times in all papers that come with the laptop as well as when you first start the machine as a pop-up message.

The recovery DVDs can restore the system to the original state anytime you need them to.
