Hello everyone, is nice to be here sharing, reading and learning.
I come here asking for some help if anyone has some ideas. I own a Vaio (model Vgn-fw31j) and it came with Vista installed. After upgrading to Win7 i found some issues that i would like to fix, but havent been able to.
I have some problems with some drivers, but one of the things that im most concerned is with the Touchpad drivers. It seems to be less sensitive to finger touch, and scroll function is disabled.
To fix this issue i've done this so far:
- Searched with the driver'a name on the web. No drivers available for Win7.
- Tryed to install the Vista driver i have, with compatibility, didnt work.
- Donwloaded some of the utilities for win7 available on the europe support site (thats the only site with drivers for my model) installed them, and updated via Vaio Update, but didnt work. On the Manager Devices Screen everything looks good, no warning problems with drivers, but still those funcions are disabled.
- I also tried to install a generic TouchPad Driver; didnt work either.
im about to search any other win7 compatible driver from any other vaio model. i was wondering if vaio has a site with available utilities too because i only see updates for those program on the Driver donwload page i checked.
so, my questions: is there an available win7 driver for Touchpad, for Vaio laptops? or, how to install a vista driver in 7 succesfully?
thanks for your help.
