    hi all ...

i'm about to buy a vaio fs 215s notebook, but i'm curious about the sounds of this machine (i need it as a musician)

do the fans for the cpu (graphics adapter?) make any sound / are they loud?

would be nice, to get some response ...

    thanks ... tim

I'm pre-ordering one as well as they're not out yet here (stock comes in this Wednesday 18/5/05 according to Sony-Style UK), but I personally didn't notice significant fan noise on the FS115Z, which is the main notebook in the UK's FS range so far. However, I have read a amateur review about the FS series in general (especially the FS550/570 - USA version), that have critisied the fan for switching on at low levels of usage.

Oh and BTW, for everyone else that read my last email, don't worry. I called Sony-Style and was told the FS215S is more powerful, but is cheaper than the FS115Z because the 215 is pre-order only now.
