vaio fs 760w dead !!

hi

i have a vaio fs760w since 2 years, last friday whitout any notice my computer become powerless (it was whit battery and conected to the power outlet).

i try to turn on whit out the battery, only whit the battery, i try (whit the recomendation of sony support) to press and hold the power button for 15 seg, and nothing.

there is no one led on, it seems like a mother board problem, the charger and the battery are fine i tested.

if anyone has the same problem, please tell what is it

I had the same problem. i send it to sony and they replace me the electronic sub ass. complete pwb pws-52 and electronic sub ass.complete pwb ifx-431. If you want more details i cant give it to you because even today i dont know what my unit have.I dont have knowledge about Pc's, Notebook's and even sony refused to explain me the problem with simple words for people that dont have knowledge. I even spoke with the person that repair my unit but nothing. The problem wasn't solve and after the repair and apears and new one. Try if your notebook is new to replace it. Even you will repair it now the problem will reapir. In my case it happent and from one month it can't start the unit. And anouther thing..after the repair it was imposible to move the unit from a place to anouther because simple i coulnd open. Only with the trick with 15 seconds, ac power and batery. Sometime i need hours and some times days.I have to send my unit to sony now for the same problem but i am out of warrancy and just 158 euro is to send it and to check it. the other costs will be add to this value. So..how much can cost a repair in the end and just with 6 months warrancy????

 

i was looking over the internet on different places for the problem of my laptop, and looks like is a mother board problem.
does anyone dare to open and repair a similar problem ?
