    Hi,

Ive recently bought a brand new VGN-FW11ZU about 3 days ago, and i would like to create recovery discs for the laptop.

The problem is, whenever i access the Vaio Recovery Center, i click on the recovery disc create option. Ive got a blank DVD-R inserted. When it gets to the screen to start the creation process, it keeps prompting me to insert a blank disc, or then no disc is inserted.

I am using really good quality memorex dvd-r's, and the dvd has also been recognised by windows vista, so i know that it cant be a compatibility issue.

is there any patch or update that i can download?

Thank you for all your help

On the TZ, there was an update and a note saying that the recovery center would not work on a double density DVD. Try looking at the driver/software update page and see if there is an update for your FW.

There is official update for Vaio Recovery Center (for Z series), you should check if it's availabe for FW as well. Maybe this will resolve your problem.
