    1. Recently i bought my new vaio s15 2013 core i7 3632 win 8 version through the sony us online store. i m shocked with the audio performance of the machine. it's simply horrible. Can u please inform me any clue to maximize the audio performance in my vaio? any idea?

    2. sometimes i use skype on my vaio. but i cant hear the sounds clearly from opposite side, its very low. i don't use any external device such as soundbox or earphone, i just use built in speaker. i have the experience to use vaio f series before, it was very pleasing experience. the audios r good and skye conversations are just fine. am i missing something here? is it related to settings?

    3. if i use an external sound box or earphone, will there need any setting?

    Yes there is.
Unistall your old driver. Then install this:

    Go to this site; http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M5A99X+EVO&p=1&s=24
Its for a asus board but dont care about that.

    Choose WIN 7 x64 (not win 8)
    Press audio.
And choose the OLDER one of the 2 files. From 2011.01.07. Named: Version V5.10.0.6251/V6.0.1.
    Download it.
Here are some instructions i made in another thread:

This mods also works with Windows 8. You just shouldn't press the AsusSetup.exe. cos that will give you an error saying it don't work with windows 8. You should go in to the drivers folder and press the Setup.exe from there.
To make sure this works you need to uninstall the Dolby drivers first.
You may get an error when the installation is done but dont worry about that. Just restart your computer.
I made some instructions on how to do it when you have installed.

The settings tabs are in Swedish but it should be the same tabs and same places in your country. So just follow the steps. And remember to click the box in step 4 so the equalizer is on.:

This increases sound level, and gives you A LOT better quality of sound.
The speakers are still not good but this is as good as your gonna get em.

No your not missing anything. Its cos i have my tv connected to my laptop. So it shows up as a sound device on my list. When i disconnect it. It disapears.
Nice to hear it helped you.

As someone who is also moving from VPCF1 to SVS15, let me prepare you that you will not get anything close to VPCF1 sound quality or level on SVS15. The speakers are just that worse.
