    Hi all,

I am having trouble with my Sony vaio pcg-71313M. It wont charge!. I have had the power port replaced by a local company as it had come loose. I know the laptop works as we also bought a replacement battery and the laptop worked whilst the new battery had charge. I have also bought a new charger in case the old one was bust but still no joy.

Any thoughts on possible remedy would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

They didn't solder the power port properly, or it came loose, or there was damage to the board that prevents voltage going to the board. Let me guess, it got snagged or fell before right? These are my conclusions based on the fact you tried 2 chargers and a working battery. Did they replace it with a genuine or good quality Sony Vaio power port connector? Does the power indicator on the PC flash when you plug the power in? Some Toshibas do this? Take it back to them, you should of checked that it charged before you took out of the shop.

    Good Luck
